Summer Sample Auction - July 2011
The Provincetown Summer Sampler auction featured work from the Estate of Bruce Warren, art collector and Scientist Emeritus from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. Bruce explored the Provincetown Art Colony in much the same way he discovered previously unknown deep currents in the Indian Ocean for which he was awarded the Maurice Ewing Medal in 2004 by the American Geographical Union. Warren was a frequent visitor and buyer at Provincetown Art Association and Museum and local art galleries. The sale also featured important offerings from the private collection of Jay Carney. |
